A disorderly paradise
A disorderly paradise 2020, HD Video 5’42”. Nine women choose a place – metaphorical or contextual – in which to express their subjectivities. Commonalities emerge: connections, not only to nature, but to other people, beings, or objects, as well as alternative ways of being. As society’s expectations place obstacles and barriers in women’s path, Utopia ceases to be a place to arrive at, but becomes the path - a shared, if imperfect, state of resistance - expressed through these very different re-presentations of female subjectivity.
