Love, dinner, flowers, dances (money, work, deadlines, power)
Collective and collaborative working involves experimentation, risk and discovery : the title Love, dinner, flowers and dances (money, work, deadlines and power) references the Milan Women Bookshop Collective’s commitment to working together on common projects as an act of creative resistance in response to unseen material oppression. This stereo sound recording and booklet (2020 ) brings together 14 brief, collaboratively authored sound pieces and their creators’ comments on the collaborative process. The project was shown in this form as part of the exhibition Unseen Labour at Newington Art Academy in March 2020 and continues to invite contributions on line (click for link).
